👋 I'm Martin Sarsini

Freelance Product Engineer, 20+ years. Glasgow · Berlin · Remote.

I take web apps from problem to shipped: analysis, UX, back-end, front-end, SEO and launch. Then I stay on and grow them.

Some of the projects I've worked on:

  • CCR3 — performance-management platform. Lead dev on a complete rebuild, including reseller permissions and billing automation.
  • Rightsbridge — music copyright management. Dashboard for submitting registrations, viewing catalogues, collecting earnings and analytics.
  • EmuBands — digital music distribution to Spotify and iTunes. Lead full-stack dev, and I ran the migration from Yii to Symfony.
  • Find Lab Test — the UK's largest lab-test comparison directory. Symfony, PostgreSQL, geosearch and booking.
  • University of Glasgow — booking and invoicing system for the Institute of Infection, Immunity & Inflammation.
  • Yes Scotland — door-to-door canvassing PWA for the 2014 independence referendum, hand-rolled in plain JavaScript, before the frameworks arrived.
  • Dubai Police — cloud HR assessment tool used at Dubai Career Expo, 2018 to 2022.

Mostly PHP and Symfony, with whatever the front end needs on top.
